Ecometals Limited is an international mining company engaged in adding value to gold and base metal projects with a primary focus on assets in South America. Ecometals is listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange under the symbol EML, plus the Frankfurt and Berlin exchanges under the symbol GDQ. Ecometals, formerly Goldmarca Limited, acquired its current name in October 2007.

Ecometals is a story about change. In February, 2007, a new investor group entered, eventually investing C$ 15.5 million of fresh equity capital into the old Goldmarca. The new group invested based on several independent studies of Goldmarca's existing resource base and its geological prospects. These studies were compiled by several noted geologists.

After a few months, it became apparent that change was required to maximize the potential of the company's properties and projects. In early June, the senior management was changed. Then, the Board of Directors, the senior geologist and technical management, the lawyers, financial advisors and ultimately the name of the company were changed.

Where are we today? Ecometals has a strong team in place, has the financial resources to develop its projects and execute its aggressive business plan, and is governed by a first-class board. Its existing strong asset base has been preserved and steps are now under way to exploit its significant upside potential.
